I am a psychology major with a minor in statistics. After taking several neurobiology courses, I became fascinated by the neurological mechanisms that drive human behavior. I joined Dr. Merkley’s lab to bridge the gap between psychological theory and biological research, specifically by developing my skills in neuroimaging and data analysis. Being part of the Brain Lab will allow me to explore how structural brain changes can manifest in symptoms.
Outside of the lab, I stay active through weightlifting, basketball, and volleyball. I am also an avid reader, with a particular love for historical fiction. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience. I hope to eventually work as a therapist specializing in substance abuse recovery, utilizing my background in neurobiology to provide more effective, care for those navigating addiction.
