Research Assistant

I chose to major in neuroscience with a minor in psychology because I want to learn more about the biological foundations of psychiatric conditions. I hope to investigate the interplay between genetics and the environment in relation to neuropsychiatric diseases. I joined the Brain Lab in the interest of becoming more familiar with MRI scans and learning more about how neuroanatomy relates to psychological symptoms. I loved how the research they were conducting includes both neuroscience and psychology in one!

Outside of the lab, I enjoy painting in all mediums, playing soccer, traveling, and doing anything outdoors! I love traveling because it allows me to experience new cultures and see the diverse climates of the earth. In the summer I also love to go on hikes and go boating on the lake.

My future educational goals include pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience. I hope to one day become a pediatric neuropsychologist to help bring hope to those who experience day-to-day difficulties with neuropsychiatric conditions.
