Originating from McAllen, Texas, I am a Psychology major with a minor in Japanese. I joined the Brain Lab after enrolling in a neurobiology course. I have always been fascinated by neuropsychology, especially in neuroimaging techniques and how neuroanatomy affects functioning and psychological outcomes. Having this opportunity has already advanced my abilities in neuroanatomy and clinical applications that I hope to carry with me into a graduate career. My long-term goal is to go into clinical neuropsychology, particularly with pediatric trauma and TBI. In the meantime, I plan to pursue a master’s in social work and perform psychotherapy as a licensed clinical social worker.
Outside of the lab, I am an intern in the Wasatch Behavioral Health system, working with teens in an after-school program. I love reading, listening to music, singing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
