I am a Psychology major with a minor in American Sign Language. I’m especially interested in how language, culture, and neuropsychology intersect, particularly in underserved populations like the Deaf community. I joined Dr. Merkley’s Brain lab because I wanted to explore white matter integrity and its relationship to behavior, and it’s deepened my passion for using neuroscience to inform meaningful, real-world care.
My goal is to become a neuropsychologist who provides culturally sensitive, accessible care to Deaf patients in their preferred language. Outside of academics, I enjoy visiting art museums, trying new pottery classes, and biking around town (with a helmet on!)
